Look up from your cocktail at Urge Lounge, behold the hottest go-go studs in the city hovering above you and remember: one dollar stuffed down that teensy weensy ounce of fabric gets the same goods as one hundred dollars. Nobody said Go-Go dancers make good businessmen. Just don’t offer them change.
Although we miss the downstairs darkroom and back patio smoking pit closed years ago, Urge still has comfy nooks, open space and a friendly atmosphere. For these reasons, we try our best to forgive the skankiest restroom in the east village, featuring a urinal trough unfit even by breeder standards.
Urge makes up for its deficiencies in other ways. For example, on “Ass Wednesdays” your very own derriere could fetch $100 in prize money. Other nightly events feature DJs, drag queens, game shows and, of course, the gamely go-gos. That’s not to mention a 2-for-1 happy hour that stretches from 4-10pm, every single night.
