Typically, the only time we like to see the words ALL YOU CAN EAT is when they’re on the waistband of a go-go boy’s underwear.
As a population, many gays aren’t into consuming mass quantities of anything (except maybe vodka). But if we fast or fill up on salads for a few days, then watch out. We’ll tear up an all-you-can-eat buffet like nobody’s business.
That’s why we’re excited to see an old-school staple return to the Dallas dining scene via one of the hottest new restaurants, Q de Cheval. Prime Rib Night is back, baby! Once ubiquitous at the steakhouses around town, the beefy phenomenon made an exit years ago and seemed to be extinct.
But starting tonight (and every Friday hereafter), you can feel what it must’ve been like in the big-dealin’ days of the 1980s. Feast on hand-carved, bone-in prime rib with au jus or Creole crawfish sauce. Then dive into crab-and-corn chowder, loaded baked potatoes (sweet, too), green bean casserole, glazed carrots, grilled asparagus, cornbread muffins, homemade cobbler, and more. Repeat.
Wine by the glass is half-price, too.
We recommend booking a room upstairs at the Hotel Intercontinental because after all that meat consumption, you’ll be ready for a nap. And maybe the desire to head back down for seconds.
$19.95 per person (plus tax, gratuity)
