If we had to pick one Andrew Lloyd Webber musical from his series of Bible-themed productions, it would have to be Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Because Joseph and the Chamber of Secrets was too long. And Joseph and the Deathly Hallows just made us sad to see old Joe all grown up, preparing to interpret his final dream.
But now we can witness the glory of one of the fanciest jackets this side of Liberace, as well as experience one of the hottest actors to ever play Joseph (Sydney James Harcourt, above) in Dallas Theater Center’s summer spectacular.
Also starring one of Dallas’ most popular divas, Liz Mikel, the production promises to be one of DTC’s more memorable extravaganzas.
Plus, it’s fascinating to see what Weber’s creative mind was like before he turned his attention to singing cats.
And disfigured sewer dwellers with a penchant for attempted murder via chandelier.
