A couple weeks ago, we had the pleasure of sitting down with one of our favorite women, Carla Hall from Top Chef and The Chew. Not only did we learn how supportive and outspoken she is for gay rights, we also got a chance to taste some of her sweet, chocolaty goodness.
That’s right, we ate her cookies. And for once, that’s not even a euphemism.
Yes, we savored her Teeny, Tiny, Cram-Sixteen-in-Your-Mouth-at Once Morsels of Sinful Deliciousness that Will Make You Forsake Regular Size Cookies for the Rest of Your Life.
Or, as she more succinctly labels them, Carla Hall Petite Cookies.
About the size of a nickel, these are quite possibly the cutest desserts ever. The Keebler Elves would be so proud. (Mostly because they could carry them into their tree without tipping over.)
Available from her Washington, D.C. catering company, she hopes to eventually open up a flagship store in the gay neighborhood just as a thank you for the support they’ve shown her. But until then, and for everyone in the rest of the country, they’re available online in eight flavors.
Savory options include Cheddar Pecan, as well as Goat Cheese and Dried Cranberry. Our favorite, Mexican Chocolate Chip, is joined by Black Forest Crinkle, Hawaiian Wedding, and Almond Ginger Cherry Shortbread.
Most of all, Carla Hall Petite Cookies make the perfect hostess gift.
