Madonna, monsters and half-naked men. What could be better?
Being in New Orleans to enjoy all that decadence on the same night, that’s what.
It’s no secret that NOLA is one of our favorite cities in the known universe. And last year, we experienced Halloween there for the first time. To say it’s epic is an understatement. The entire town transforms for the holiday and nearly everyone walks the streets in costume.
The official Halloween weekend is Thursday, October 25 – Sunday, October 28 with events each day, but Saturday night is where you need to focus your attention and travel planning.
At 8:00 p.m., you can still find tickets (some surprisingly affordable) to Madonna’s MDNA Tour at the New Orleans Arena.
Then after the music makes the people come together, hit the Project Lazarus “Monster Brawl” Halloween Party at the Contemporary Arts Center. Costumes or gym gear (to fit the fight theme) are required to enter. Plus, there will be a clothes check should you need to change into your costume at the event.
The party lasts until 4:00 a.m. and there’s an open bar to keep things interesting.
Especially for those whose costumes leave little to the imagination.
