Mardi Gras is upon us once again. And that means our clothes, once again, will not be upon us in our quest to earn the most beads. We just have to be a little more covert than we are in New Orleans because the Dallas Police aren’t as lenient toward public nudity.

But that’s not going to stop us from having a crazy time this Saturday as all four Caven clubs (JR’s, Sue Ellen’s, TMC and Station 4) celebrate Carnivale for the 8th spectacular year.

Music superstar Kristine W headlines the event with a high-energy performance at S4, but every venue is prepped for one big Mardi party. Cruisin’ the Crossroads drink specials ($2 wells and domestic beers) remain in effect at the designated time for each club, but cover charge specials are suspended for the evening.

In addition to great dance music and cocktails aplenty, revelers enjoy face painting, masks, bead tosses and even having their butt sketched.

Thankfully, we’ll be making it easy for the artist to see exactly what he’s working with. As long as the po-po is nowhere in sight.
