Not Your Average Beverage
Italian soda beats others to a bloody pulp
Over the years, we’ve put a lot of things in our mouths in the name of research. We mean A LOT. Of course, we’re talking about beverages.
And while many longnecks have received a refreshing “ahhh” and an ever-so-sassy, slow-motion hair toss (okay, maybe we watch too many commercials), nothing has left us wanting to suck one down more than Blood Orange Italian Soda at Central Market.
While some folks faint at the mere mention of blood, true foodies and mistaken vampires will recognize the Blood Orange as the tart starlet of an otherwise navel-gazing fruit world. And you’ll find plenty of its sanguine-colored pulp and tangy punch floating in each bottle of fizzy ecstasy.
Who cares that 12 ounces has 41 grams of sugar?! Carbs, schmarbs. It’s “organic” and that’s almost as fashionable as being “green.” In fact, drinking this stuff probably helps to freeze the ice caps and save baby polar bears.
Okay, that’s a stretch. But it does make one hell of a Sangria. And that’s a great start to stopping global warming.
$5 for a four-pack
