Custom eyewear from across the pond

As gays, it is our right — no, our responsibility — to be fashion-forward individuals who look at least ten years younger than our actual age, drive nice cars even if we can’t afford them, and find out about hot items before that Oprah chick gets her hands on them.

It’s tough work sometimes, so when we heard about a custom tailored line of eyewear we knew it was time to ditch our Charles Nelson Reillys in favor of something a little sexier.

Next Thursday, June 25, British designer Tom Davies will be giving private fitting consultations based on each client’s looks, features and face shapes to create the perfect pair of glasses.

Davies’ eyewear has been worn by some of the world’s biggest celebrities, and you know how important that is to us when looking down on our friends who got their bourgeois specs at the Wal-Mart optical center. Peff! “Look at me, I’m Kevin Spacey. Guess my sexuality, I dare you!” you’ll say.

To be completely honest, we have 20/20 vision, but we’re still going to get a pair made just so we look smarter. You know, like when stupid girls do it. You’d be surprised how many people it fools.
