Gypsies, Camp & Sleaze

Time to embark on The Discount Cruise to Hell

Even amidst the slew of travel deals going on right now, The Discount Cruise to Hell has caught our eye-lined eyes. Sure, we’ve been heading to hell in a fluorescent pink Jonathan Adler hand basket for years, but this eccentric cruise might be the liveliest way to go.

Though a few members may or may not have given us rides of one type or another, The Discount Cruise to Hell consists of performers, not ports or promenades. A pan-gender artistic collective, DCTH plays many venues across LA, but none of the shows are as anticipated as their annual Halloween musical.

Blending risqué comedy and live music with vaudevillian performance art and costumes so camp that Jason’s stalking them through a hole in his hockey mask, DCTH’s “Sugar & Vice” spectacular might be the most decadent way to conjure the spirit of the holiday.

Best of all, DCTH is unafraid to push boundaries, ensuring a show overflowing with sexual innuendo (our favorite kind of innuendo!), wigs, glitter, leather and libations – encompassing everything we’ve loved about Halloween since age 11!

If the rumors prove true, we’ll find more tricks and treats after booking this trip than we found on our last Atlantis cruise to the Baltics…
