Lay your hands on the sexiest cement in town

When mom visits, we take her to Hollywood Boulevard to see the stars on the walk of fame. When gay Uncle Larry from Omaha comes to town, we take him to Santa Monica Boulevard to see a very different set of stars’ prints.

First known as the Pussycat, then the all-gay Tomkat, the currently-named Studs Theater is a WeHo landmark that we’ve totally never been inside of or anything. But out front of the sticky theater seats is a tourist-worthy sight that lays homage to L.A.’s other film industry: adult films, as remembered through cemented hand and foot prints.

The history of the infamous theater stretches back to the 1930s making it the perfect spot for various adult stars to have laid their large hands.

Disappointingly, however, the attraction does not include imprints of the extremities that made the stars famous, but there’s still something about laying our modestly-sized hands inside of John Holmes’s that leave us weak in the knees.

The tiny attraction might not draw the crowds like the Rock of Fame on Sunset or the aforementioned tourist trap on Hollywood, but the little-known WeHo sight is sure to make more than just Uncle Larry giddy.

Go ahead, stroll on over to Studs and see how you size up to the industry’s biggest stars. We did, and now we can finally say we have touched John Holmes’s hard stuff in the past…
