Three queens are ours for the night

Though they’re surely more familiar with performing while on their backs, a collection of three hilarious drag stars will grace a Santa Monica stage for stand-up on Saturday.

Jackie Beat, Varla Jean Merman and Miss Coco Peru will come together in a rousing threesome for one night only, an anticipated comedy event emceed by Ongina of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame.

Like most threesomes we’ve been involved in, cameras will film every trick and tuck from the performance for a future LOGO special. Those of us in Southern California, however, will have the pleasure of seeing the three queens’ uncut material live on stage (hot!). Like most uncut goods, the extra-supply of jokes are sure to be the juiciest.

If you’re unfamiliar with the drag stars, you’ve been hiding under a cock for the past decade (which we wouldn’t hold against you). In that case, let us explain: Though Miss Coco might most be remembered for her turn in Trick, it’s her co-starring role (alongside the gorgeous Varla Jean) in Girls Will Be Girls that tripped us heels over our head in love with both actresses.

Jackie Beat, on the other hand, has a considerable underground and internet following, and boasts many film and television roles under her vintage 80’s-style belts as well.

Where Varla Jean and Miss Coco are tongue-in-cheek, Jackie is tucked-balls-to-the-walls.

The three drag heavyweight performances punctuated by the effervescent Ongina is so much ferociousness on one stage that Santa Monica is at risk of spontaneously combusting into a burst of dick jokes, wigs and duct tape, which sounds like every other one night stand we’ve enjoyed.
