TV gadget turns dog lovers into pet-o-files

When it comes to losing willpower, every creature has its vices. Cats have catnip, dogs have cat poop and humans have anything marked “As Seen On TV.”

There’s just something so unnecessarily indulgent about these products that makes us call now to order in three easy payments every single time. Our latest impulse purchase – the Peticure.

As if it weren’t humbling enough following in Fido’s footsteps, dutifully scooping his crap into a plastic bag, this gadget gives you the opportunity to play sweatshop manicurist to your favorite fuzz ball.

Although it looks suspiciously like a “personal massager,” the Peticure is actually a pimped out Dremel tool that lets you gently file down the doggie digits. Trust us, your hardwood floors will thank you for it.

And the plastic cap and adjustable nail slot will keep all that super fine toenail “shrapnel” from coating your carpet and counters. Blech.

Unlike the “As Seen On TV” dogs that presented their paws for peticuring like they were shaking hands at a cotillion, our hounds required more of a direct approach to achieve desired results. (Read: we had to sit on them while burning through a Costco-sized bag of Beggin’ Strips.)

Nonetheless, the project was a success and the pitter-patter of their puppy feet no longer sounds like a herd of tap dancers practicing in the living room.
