City Life Is A Beach
Urban Paradise is here
Ever imagine checking out the skyline of Manhattan with sand underfoot? Sounds queer, but it’s here! Water Taxi Beach hasn’t much marketed to the gay scene because we just uncovered this beach-front gem on a balmy night this May!
A waterfront of sand, beach volleyball, award-winning barbecue burgers, and of course a full bar! What else could you ask for? The tropics?
There’s no reason to admire nature when you can get your tan on while gazing at your world famous cityscape and (this is the best part) feel far, far away! They’ve even got giant plastic palm trees!
Head to Queens, or just take the Water Taxi from 34th street (it docks right there!) and listen to house music all day and into the night by DJ Victor Franco and other guest DJs.
Wait, there’s more! This summer, they’re opening Water Taxi beaches in South Street Seaport (site of the former Spiegeltent) and on Governor’s Island (site of a current ghost town)!
Who needs Hawaii? Well okay, please ignore the east River.
Free all day! Nightly entrance varies ($5 - $10)
